so here is what we know about travel plans.

not much.

the embassy in Dakar is closed for the week-end, including Monday.

we have to coordinate with them our travel plans because we have business that we take care of with them while we are there.

we also have to coordinate with the Pastor at the orphanage.

if it were up to me we would be leaving on Thursday or Friday next week.

if we can’t coordinate it all, we may have to move it back a week.

we’ll see.

I am in a fog. I keep saying to myself, “Did that just really happen?”

I have been walking by pictures of Zeke and Kora all week and diverting my eyes each time. It was too painful.

Needless to say, I am lingering some today. Thanking God. Praying for their hearts and the huge, huge upset that is about to happen in their lives.

Thank you for rejoicing with us today.

Truly. Truly.

Jody,
I came upon your blog through Holly’s blog. Holly and I used to attend the same church. I have been reading your blog for a couple of months and from the first day I read it I was hooked! Thank you for your honesty in sharing your emotions through this process…odd but I feel like I know you.:) I will be praying for you and your husband as you travel and for your boys as you are separated from them. I also have a little boy with wild hair…wild, red curly hair! I look forward to continuing to follow your journey. Have a blessed weekend!

How long will you be in Africa once you are there? In other words, when will you be back home with them?

Sarah Saunier 05/23/2008 at 11:47 am

Yeah!!!! So it looks like we might be there at the same time. Let me know your travel dates because if we are there at the same time I am going to come and visit you. Wow, what a relief that you have permission to bring your children home. If you want a place to stay while you are there, we may be able to arrange you staying at the COTN guest house with me. Give me a call as your plans solidify and we can talk more. So excited for you.

Hi! This is Erin from BC Canada-I came across your blog a couple of days ago from Steffany’s blog-when I told my husband about your situation we both prayed our hearts out that everything would work out and that soon you would hold your precious children in your arms-I am sooo thankful and glad to hear that He still is answering prayer! Congratulations-I can’t wait to see pictures of your little ones and to hear all about your trip there and back!
Blessings!
