hostess with the mostess.

I’m sorry but “mostess” is a totally fun word.

AND that phrase, “hostess with the mostess” has never been used in the same sentence with my name.

Because if you have ever been to my house, you know I am the antithesis of “hostess with the mostess.”

You are lucky if you get a glass of water…and if you do, you probably had to get it yourself.

I like having people here…I just don’t know how to set fancy tables, cook pretty food, plan activities, or anticipate the needs of guests. I kind of just assume, if you want or need something, you’ll get it. And I hope you do. What’s mine is yours.

SO…not really hostess with the mostesss. Until today.

Today I’m “hostess.”

And I’m so excited!

I’m hosting an online raffle. Yah! For my sweet friend, Amy, who is working tirelessly to bring home her little girl from Ethiopia.

We all know adoption comes with a financial aspect.

So Amy is using her incredible talent to help fund the homecoming of their precious 6 year old daughter.

She painted this incredible piece of art.

The painting is called, “Melaku Yatasfa” Which in amharic means, Angel of Hope.

She measures 22 X 28.

It’s a nice size art. Done with acrylic on stretched canvas, ready to hang.

Here’s how we are going to do this:

She would look so awesome over the bed of my own African angel which is why I am will be buying the first couple raffle tickets.
