Amy came over this morning so we could tie bows on ornaments and package bracelets.
We set the kids up with play-doh….which I save for occasions such as this.
It lasted for about 5.3 minutes.
We then moved on to this and a steady consumption of lollipops..
We’re not horribly proud of our parenting on mornings like this…but they seem to survive.

not proud? jody, if i was their age i would be so thrilled i could jump on a mattress. forget about at that age, right now at 16 – i’d love to jump on a mattress. can you um, tell my sisters and brothers and i were mattress jumping deprived?

um, why are there mattresses on the living room floor anyway?? Is there more to the story?
