Zeke and Kora were very confused and rather concerned…had no idea why people were giving them candy.
I’m afraid, however, that tomorrow they may want to try again…

We raided the neighborhood of some friends and made a quick sweep of the houses in the PERFECT weather and then settled in for some pizza.

Some from Cassie’s camera…

October 31, 2008
It was a beautiful day. I have been consumed with a number of things lately…that have not included my children.
So I thought I needed to get out and just be with them this morning.
THe nature center and a hike seemed like a good plan.
I’ve been slacking in the AEA training…so this would be an educational outing.
I invited Cassie along for the ‘education’ part since I am the worst “teacher” of small children on the planet.
This is what I sounded like…
“Children. These are fish.”

“And here we have a pond. And sharks don’t live in there…that I’m aware of anyway.”

“Trees. Leaves. Grass. Got it?”

“No, you cannot get in there.”

“Jump over it. Good Job, Quincy. Nice try, Zeke.”

Oh, and the effort expended for this picture….
Quincy was losing his clothes for some reason that has escaped me. But it was fine because his name was written in marker on his stomach. And come to find out, Zeke and Kora also had their names written on their stomach. I was told the branding was courtesy of brother Max this morning. His letter writing and spelling are pretty good actually.
He must have a good Kindergarten teacher…

You shouldn’t be.
Because I could NOT do this craft.
I saw this and happened to have some of those press one letters and little pumpkins currently in my house.

So I was going to whip it out this morning and impress you all again with my homemakerness (it’s a word…that I just made up).
But it’s harder than it appears. To get the letters to stick over the ridges of the pumpkin.
Yet assuming you are all more talented than me (which is not hard), it would be totally cute, right?
So there you go.
You try it.
I was on a time crunch with people literally hanging from my leg…so I do believe it could be done.

We are putting final touches on the next project.
We are launching on Monday.
And we are a tiny bit excited.
And this is what happens when Moms try and have a “meeting.”
It’s really anything but.
Basically, it means getting in a couple words here and there in between breaking up fight and getting snacks.
This morning, I was looking up something on the computer…while one child climbed on my shoulders and went for a choke hold… and another threw a shoe at my head.
They all then gathered around and chanted…constantly…”Whole WORLD in HIS Hands!! Whole World IN HiS HAnds!!!” (wanting to watch themselves singing)

A very productive time indeed.
It was at the last “meeting” that a whole cup of coffee was spilled on a laptop.
I’m not saying whose child it was or whose computer….but let’s just say there was a lot of silence and deep breathing going on.
End of meeting.
The computer is presently working and the children are all still alive.

By popular demand.
(or because one person said it was good).
Jody’s Fruit Dip.
Now this is a tricky one.
Equal parts sour cream and marshmallow cream.
(I don’t know folks, I buy a carton of sour cream and a jar of marshmallow cream).
Stir.
It’s kind of hard, but just keep stirring.
Then let sit in refrigerator for a little while.
It’s yummy. And good with strawberries and cantaloupe and pineapple.
And completely negates the effect of eating the healthy fruit in one quick dip.

This just makes me laugh.
Gabe and his high water pants…must of raided the wrong laundry pile on his way out the door this morning…

And these boys…well, these boys are just cute and really loud. (I’m just telling you because you can’t tell from the pictures. But believe me…you would have a headache if you had been around today.)
