There’s always a lot to process after any trip…no matter how long or short.

But today I can’t stop thinking about Marie.

She’s the top stove vendor in Port au Prince– a single mom using her income to pay the transport fees to send her kids to school

I love that she had no idea who we were or why we were there.

She IS doing all the work after all.

And today–just like me–she sent her kids to school.

I imagine tonight both of us will prepare meals for our families.

There is nothing easy. Nothing quick. Nothing guaranteed. About development work.

But at the end of the day, it’s people like Marie that make it all make sense.

And I’m just really thankful in a small, small way our stories intersected.

One Response to never underestimate.

I love hearing about how God uses different stories and weaves the threads together. Thanks for the updates from your trip.
