I’m not sure what happened to this week.
We are in a weird in between season this week with fall sports starting, but no school yet, and crazy work schedules.
It’s been a little “off.”
So while I don’t have complete thoughts, here’s what I do love….
1. My new Mango Cutter. I have a weird fruit thing. I don’t like bananas, apples, oranges, strawberries or any fruit that has a brown or soft spot. Can’t do it. But I do like mango. They are, however, weird to cut. It was a problem…I always felt like I was wasting too much of the fruit. Until I found this. Changed my life.
2. Following this meaningless theme, Kari told me about this Pineapple slicer. Pineapple makes my list of fruit I actually like. But the amount of time it takes to cut a fresh one always keeps me from buying it. (I know! I’m pathetic.) But this is awesome. I’m buying a lot more pineapple these days. Now could someone tell me how to pick a good pineapple? I haven’t been very successful at that yet…
3, My Grandma told me about this glass cleaner. And well, I do like a good, clean mirror. And this does work better than anything I’ve ever used.
4. I was obsessed with this show for some reason: NY Med. You can watch the episodes on hulu and there’s also an old series of Boston Med. I have literally no idea why I am so fascinated by these shows. But I am.

I started watching NY Med one night when Dan was working late in the ER, and I was fascinated by it, too!! I’ve always wanted to be a fly on the wall when he’s working in the ER, so it seemed like it was CLOSE to the same thing
To pick a good pineapple you smell the bottom of it (where it was connected to the plant). If it smells sweet like a pineapple it’s a good one. If it’s still a bit green and doesn’t smell, let it sit out for a few days to ripen. When it smells like a pineapple it’s ready to cut. I can’t remember where I learned this but it works every time!
So helpful, Molly!! Thank you!
