Andy is taking our first son on his “You Are 13 Now and that is Almost a Man and We Should Probably Talk About That” Getaway.
I told Andy I need him to return our son with a full understanding of 3 things:
1. The 101 on treating women with respect.
2. The importance of deodorant and oral hygiene.
3. How insanely proud of him we are.

I almost cried when they left. Because it’s been a hard week and I’m just happy they get to go. We splurged on decent tickets to the Mariners game for them tonight. They are staying right across the street in the hotel with a rooftop pool. And I snuck a package of Pringles of Dawson’s bag. I wanted him to know that I love him too…that was the best way I could think of right now.

You are awesome parents. This is a great idea (hilarious trip title!). I hope it was a special trip for both of them, and that you don’t mind if I steal this idea in about 9 years.
