So here’s how it went.
We washed our “baby”—
Then our insanely cool landlord–who has a bunch of super fun toys–came over to pick up some kids.
He doesn’t know our kids that well yet because he lets them drive everything…
Then he hooked them up for a some tubing.
It was “dreams come true” day for our kids.
The blonds went first…
Gabe went as Zeke’s “keeper” on this run. Instructions were–”If Zeke falls off, you jump off too.”
Got it.
Not to be left out…
Our Lake Princess….
As if that wasn’t enough excitement for the day, the kids came running in to tell me–”The neighbor brought us a boat to use for the day!!!”
Me: “What? Why?”
Quincy: “Yeah. He said, ‘Thanks for not bothering me. Here’s a boat.’ “
Me: “Oh. Fantastic. Good job, kids.” 
Our place was hopping yesterday and it was so fun to have the boat for the day!
Among our awesome guests were Nate and Theresa–fresh on US soil from Korea.
Just passing through, we were so excited to get a little time with them.
It’s a whole other post to describe these folks. There is something extraordinary about them. They embody “be secretly incredible” like no one I’ve ever seen before.
And we adore them.
We finally settled on the lawn to watch the fireworks go crazy all around the lake.
At one point, it was completely dark and I took the paddle board out onto the glassy lake and watched the fireworks from in the middle of the lake go off in a circle around me.
It was sorta awesome. I’m not going to lie.

What a huge fun day for your kids. And for you when you had that moment on the lake- must have been serene.
