Big Adventure Project news.

This summer we have been hard at work cranking out a cleaner website and improving our accounting and donor management systems (geek stuff). Connecting you to the projects in the field is important to us, and we’re excited to roll out some new bells and whistles soon!

BUT in the meantime, The Adventure Project has been chosen as a TOP 5 Finalist for the Classy Awards (think Oscars for non-profits…or something like that). In fact we were nominated in two categories: “Best New Charity” and best “Disaster Relief and International Aid.”

It’s a pretty big deal. We’re pretty proud.

And like everything we do, in order to win, we need your help. It’s a voting thing. (As seems to be all the rage these days.)

I do believe we are bit of an underdog in this one. But I seem to have a profound respect and unrealistic (perhaps) belief in the people that meet me here everyday to explore the most boring and the most vulnerable parts of our stories.
You guys have been there from the beginning. Allowing me to share the classy and not-so-classy parts of this journey.
You have believed with us in a post-poverty world where mothers and fathers feed their own children and where opportunities abound.
