So I’m sitting at the airport about to head back from NYC to Seattle.
Just kidding about the whole “I’ll keep you posted” thing.
I was a bit unprepared for the madness of the last couple days.
We essentially did not eat or sleep…so blogging was also out of the equation.
Again, one of those times where you say, “I wish we had a video camera. If people only knew…”
But also…so great.
Gala went amazing.
We are still trying to process and take it all in.
We are not sure how to define successful…but I think we were pretty close.
Got to connect with old friends.
Meet so many truly amazing people for the first time.
And I got to put real faces to some of the great supporters I only have known online.
We got to tell the story of the well mechanics. The irrigation pumps that transform lives of small farmers. The stoves in Haiti. The amazing Community Health Promoters in Uganda. Seeing people walk around and gaze at their amazing faces and read their stories was….well, it was SO. MUCH. FUN.
I have so many moments to share and hopefully pictures soon.
So there will be more.
You know, when I get out of NYC and have time again.
This is the three of us (The Adventure Project staff)…together in the same place for the first time…on a rooftop in NYC on Sunday night.
(Even though I have known Sarah for over 15 years or something. But haven’t seen her since high school. Fantastic story for another time!)
