Want to walk through the event?
OK.
Well, here it is for documentation sake.
And just to remind you that you all should come next year.

Guests were checked in at the hotel door. While in the elevator up to the penthouse floor, they were given a boarding pass with the instructions to visit each of the four countries and get their boarding pass stamped at each location.

They stepped off the elevator and were able to grab a drink before beginning their adventure through the 4 countries….

Hor d’oeuvres were passed throughout the experience.
(Um. Hor d’oeuvres is a very hard word to spell. That just took me about 15 minutes to type it twice).

——
The first room was the Uganda/Health room.
Pictures lined the walls of the Ugandan Community Health Promoters.

Adventurers were able to view the life-saving products that the Community Health Promoters deliver and sell from their bags.
(Those are awesome shoes that I could never wear. Just saying).
In the same room they viewed and bid on our silent auction items donated by a list of fantastic sponsors.

Upon exit, a Uganda Health stamp.
———————–
Up next was the India Water room.
Guests posed with props in front of a huge, beautiful canvas of the well mechanics.

Water stories and images lined the other walls.

Next they walked into the Kenya Hunger room.
Everyone was given the opportunity to try the irrigation pump while volunteers explained how it is improving the lives of rural farmers.

Some people chose to pose with the irrigation pump canvas as well….

Kenya Hunger Stamp.
——
Finally, they went to the Haiti Environment room where fondue was burning on the stoves from Haiti.

So fun.
Again, in each room pictures and stories of the entrepreneurs from each country lined the walls.

When your boarding pass had all four stamps, it was dropped here to be entered into a raffle to join us on a trip to Haiti to see the program.

A fun, sweet girl won the raffle at the end of the night.

We launched a new rebranded Tribe…with these super fun “leave your mark” stamps that we are wearing around our necks
You will be hearing more about that soon because it is awesome.

So there you have it.
It was fun.
And so, so, so out of my comfort zone.
It’s good for me.
It’s growth.
And you what?
There are amazing people everywhere.
We are all different.
We bring different things to to table.
But we need each other.
And it’s pretty cool to get to partner together.
Because it’s a big deal.
And it will take everyone.
(*** Oh, and let it be known I had very little to do with the vision, planning and execution of this event. Becky and Ceci and Lauren led the way with an awesome team in NY. They did a spectacular job.)
