No school for the kids today.
So…after paying bills last night…we awoke to the following guidelines for today’s activities:
1. Must cost NO money.
That ended up being a little harder than it sounded initially.
The weather is not awesome.
But I agreed to be the captain for a little boat/raft/dingy trip.
It’s free.
Everyone was excited.
Life jackets were put on.
Children went running and squealing to the lake….
And um…never mind.
Lake is overflowing covering up our entrance onto the dock.
This is NOT swimming weather.
So the boat trip was a no- go.
The whining began….
It was very sad for all…
(and yes, check out the creature Max has his hand on. Yah. That little fellow scared me to death this morning! I had not seen it before. What in the world?!)
I told them we just needed some time to come up with plan B….
(And time for Mommy to apparently to find a hair brush and some wrinkle cream. Good heavens.).
